Mark Martin has won the NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Michigan International Speedway, conserving just enough fuel to get to the finish.
It was the third win of the year for Martin.
Jimmie Johnson dominated most of Sunday’s LifeLock 400 and took the lead from Greg Biffle six laps from the end. But the three-time reigning Cup champion ran out of gas two laps from the finish.
Biffle inherited the lead, but he too ran out of gas. That cleared the way for the 50-year-old Martin to drive to the front.
